The Ministry of Justice, through its Department of Prosecution, has begun a three-day strategic plan formulation and quarterly training workshop for county attorneys and prosecution monitors.
The training taking place in Voinjama from May 1, to May 3, 2025 has brought together county attorneys and prosecution monitors from across Liberia.
Speaking to Radio Kintoma News at the training center in Voinjama on Monday, Liberia’s Solicitor General Cllr. Augustine C. Fayiah, the training seeks to review the workings of the attorneys from the various counties and to identify both achievements and challenges faced by government prosecutors.
“These quarterly trainings usually help us collect key findings from across the country and engage with our partners in addressing them” He noted.
For their part, Lofa County Attorney Cllr. J. Luther Sumo described the training as way of strengthening their work as county attorneys.
“During these quarterly trainings, we as prosecutors and lawyers have the space to interact and share experiences base on our individual counties of assignment” Crll. Sumo further disclosed.
